Preparing for the 2014 Legislative Session: Assembly Days – November 21 and 22
I will be in Olympia this week for our annual Legislative Assembly to begin planning for the 2014 regular session beginning January 13.
I will lead my first Senate Human Services and Corrections Committee meeting as chairman, and will participate as vice chair in the Senate Law and Justice Committee, and as a member of the transportation committee. We will begin work sessions and public hearings on possible legislation. In fact, one of my transportation reform measures will be heard in the transportation committee meeting on Thursday, among many others. I will give you more details in future e-newsletters and keep you updated on other “hot topics” as we get closer to session.
Thank you for your immediate action to update your subscription to my e-newsletter. I will probably send out a few more reminders between now and December 1, but I hope you will act today to continue receiving my e-news updates.
I appreciate you and your desire to help make Pierce County and our state the very best that it can be. Thank you for allowing me to serve you in the Washington State Senate.
Sen. Steve O’Ban
