Law enforcement officers in Washington state were recognized today by the Washington State Senate in a resolution sponsored by Sen. Steve O’Ban, R-Pierce County. Senate Resolution 8691 was unanimously approved as members of law enforcement from throughout the state were on hand while legislators honored the commitment, diligence and sacrifice of those committed to protecting Washington residents.
“The men and women who lay their lives on the line for all of our protection deserve recognition and appreciation for this sacrifice from our entire state,” said O’Ban. “We greatly appreciate the work they do every day as well as the sacrifices their families make to support them while keeping our state safe.”
40 men and women from law enforcement looked on from Senate gallery and stood to be recognized on behalf of the state’s 11,411 officers.
