State Rep. Steve O’Ban sworn in to serve first term
Newly-elected Rep. Steve O’Ban was sworn in January 14 to serve his first term as state representative for the 28th Legislative District, which is located in west Pierce County. He was assigned the role of assistant ranking Republican on the House Judiciary Committee and will also serve on the House Business and Financial Services and Transportation committees.
“It’s a great honor to have my friends and neighbors trust me to represent their interests in Olympia,” said O’Ban, R-Pierce County. “Our communities are incredibly diverse, which will make my work in the Legislature very exciting. Not only will I work on the issues impacting our military men and women and their families, but ensuring we grow the private-sector job market will also be a top priority.”
O’Ban added that he believes the best way to turn the state’s economy around is to get people back to work.
“I look forward to hearing from constituents and learning about the many ways we can make our state stronger for every resident,” O’Ban said.
